On most of the sites I've gone to this evening, there are between 2 and 4 ads for Tampax tampons that are animated (I'm assuming flash). These are causing my pages to load slower than normal.
Has anyone else noticed this?
btw - I'm now never going to buy Tampax 'cause the ads annoyed me. 
And I'm super embarrassed that I just wrote Tampax and tampons a bunch of times. X(

Inc. couldn't afford to keep the sites running, so oh well. 
1I noticed it too, and I actually went to the site and got a free sample coming in 6-8 weeks of the tampons their advertising, bank!

I noticed they were everywhere all of a sudden, but it doesn't seem to be slowing me down. At this point however I'm not sure I could be much slower! I have never liked Tampax anyway.

have been using them for years - had a huge stock in Libya. BEST with that brand is: you never have a bloody hand - LOL

Was only able to use tampons because I was doing ballet quite a while - now do that with pads... I was sitting next to it quite a lot while doing a split...

10Haven't really noticed any changes in loading speed. And Whip is right: Without the advertising, Sugar couldn't provide us with all of the incredible sites and resources that it does.
11I hope I don't sound like a b*tch... we got rid of animated avatars because they slowed down the site, but now we have animated ads which slow down the site?
12My MySugar has definitely been slower the past few days (not group blogs, though)
mysugar is def. slowed down Wren! I've noticed it too.
